Emerson's second grade year @JCS with Mrs. Holley

I sat and downloaded each picture Mrs. Holley posted of Emerson from this year and teared up. It was Davis and Emmy's first year at JC and I loved watching them grow and learn so much this year. Joining them in chapel and eating lunch with them to watching Davis perform with the drama troupe as the lead in Charlie Brown were some of my favorite moments. This school is not just a school, it is family and it is the best feeling in the world to know my kids are in such an amazing environment.  I love looking through each of these pictures and wished it could have ended differently for the students and teachers but it sure taught me a lot having them with me again. I've been at home with them since the beginning and having them back with me has been really nice. Stressful and hard at times but ultimately really enjoyable. We plan on having a summer full of memories and then we will be back ready for 3rd grade (Emmy) and 6th grade (Davis).

My sweet Emerson I have seen you grow and change in so many ways this year. You were the first student of the week and chosen for the Christian living award. Your character is so sweet and genuine. You love so big and you don't care what others are doing, you are truly yourself and that my darling is BEAUTIFUL. Continue seeing good and bad and choosing the good. BE yourself no matter what others do and you will go far in life. Daddy and I love you so much but GOD loves you MORE! FAll in love with HIM, you will NOT go wrong!
