Davis surprised us all and tried out for the drama troupe. Truth is his amazing fifth-grade teacher encouraged him to do so and I'll love her forever for believing in him. He has blossomed in ways I never dreamed because of this simple act of trying out for drama. After tryouts, they called me to ask if they could facetime Davis to tell him his part. As I held the phone and watched his reaction to them telling him he was the lead, he was Charlie, my eyes swelled with tears. I was so proud of him and humbled his leaders believed in him so much. After hanging up the phone he immediately when and got the script and began learning his 29 lines. I'm not sure how he managed school, piano, basketball, and drama but he did. He didn't just manage it he dominated. His grades have stayed amazing, he performed in another piano recital and he gives his best at every game. He is truly one amazing kid. Without further ado here is my charlie from charlie brown's Christmas.
