Happy day to my love bugs! The kids loved waking up every morning and reading their affirmation on their hearts. I sure love these two so big and pray they know just how loved they are, not only by their parents but always by their God.
We loaded up our homemade strawberry jam and sourdough bread and homemade valentines and headed to some friends to show them some love. Loving others and loving God is our church's vision and is also how we live each day in our house.
Bringing love to our friends brought us so much joy! We ended our time getting coke icees and headed to the house to get packed for the youth retreat.
Retreats mean so much to the youth and even more to our family. We are given permission to rest and retreat, and it is a beautiful time. We make memories, laugh, cry and see our kids interact with kids they admire so much.
Seeing the falls was an adventure. It was a tough climb, lots of rain made for a messy trail and lots of slips and trips along the way. I loved watching our youth overcome fears and help others do the same all while seeing the amazing falls my father created.
Not too many people would go on a youth retreat, much less on Valentine's weekend, but we did and I could not have been prouder of my people for going. We made lots of memories and I pray we never forget them!
