Fall break this year we had a mission to explore more of the US and we went to 4 states that we had never been too. Spring break the kids asked to do the same thing, but this time a different 4 states. We mapped out a plan and began making our adventure come to life. We saw Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana on this adventure. The kids were pumped to return home and scratch off our states. Our goal is to show them there is more to traveling than just disney and the beach.
WE all went ice skating in pppp. Emerson was really the star pupil and really enjoyed herself. The rest of us thought it was too cold and it hurt our feet. Still it was an adventure we had together and that is what this trip was all about!
We visited many book stores, this one in particular Davis found some interesting items!!
And of course little miss found a book or two that she had to have!!
We ate at the purple cow. They served these really cool milkshakes!!
We visited a jump place in Arkansas and I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or ME! HA!
Emerson brought tons of stuff to do on our very long road trip!!
Davis enjoyed snoozing!!
We were all car ready and happy to be on an adventure together!
One night we waited an obscene amount of time to eat at this restaurant, but it was so YUMMY!
They had been watching forged and fire and here they were telling us about the knives that we had at the table!
FINALLY! We went in our first mall in Texas with NO masks! It felt so good to see others faces and to be able to smile at others!
Stopping on the side of the rode was one of our highlights! Who knew jumping from one state to the other would be so much fun!
Oklahoma had some of the yummiest pizza ever and that is what we ate at this stop. SOOO good!
Lots and lots of car time!!
Mexican night in texas with my girl!!
And the two handsome men we got to stare at as we ate!!
This girl is always reading. Waiting on a table at a restaurant...
One of our favorite book stores! We bought so many books the kids made it home without a peep, well maybe that is a little exaggeration!
In Louisiana we had our first try at rock climbing. I think we were all a little frightened in the beginning but we got the hang of it and definitely had fun! I must say coming down was almost as scary as going up!!
Some body had a little too much fun with the oreo's!!
WE had another amazing adventure exploring 4 new states! I cannot wait to see where the next break in school takes us! As long as Walker plans the way, I can make sure there is plenty to do and the kids just make the trip more fun so let's get planning!
