Every March 31 I get a little emotional. I still remember the excitement and fear as I headed to the hospital in anticipation of this ones arrival. I wondered if I would be ready, capable and able to take care of this precious soul that God had entrusted me and Walker. I thought am I strong enough for labor and all that meant (28 hours of natural labor only to end up with a spinal so Davis could be removed from his momma via c-section.) I wondered if I was ready for the radical change of working full time outside the home to transitioning to a SAHM. It was all so much and so new and it felt like it was too much, UNTILL my eyes met my little (big) ones for the first time. I felt my God whisper you were made for this. You were created for this time so you could take care of and nurture this sweet soul. He never said it would be easy or worry free but he told me I was created to be his mom and that is what I have been for the last 12 years. DAVIS WALKER DOW WELLINGTON you came into this world big enough to hold up that huge name of yours and I am unbelievable proud of the might warrior you are growing up to be. That smile melts away all my worries and fears. You are growing and changing so much this year. You are trying new foods and actually liking them without much pushback (yes we are still talking about food with you), you have entered middle school for the second time due to a change in schools and you are learning what it is to learn yourself and your friends. It is joy watching you learn and explore and I pray you always keep me exploring and learning.

My birthday prayer for you:
God surround my boy as he continues to grow and learn. Give him wisdom to learn himself and what he is capable of with your help. Allow him to see evil and good and choose the good. Help him be a mighty warrior for you and bring glory to your name in all he does and with all his words. Bring friends his way that lead him closer to you. May he fall deeper and deeper in love with you every day. Use him to bring others to you. Give him your fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control. God, thank you for Davis.
