Spring Break part 3

Investing in kids futures is something Walker and I are passionate about. They claimed we gave up our weekend, but I believe we got so much more by going that staying home. We got to love on some exceptional kids, allow our own kids to spend time with older kids that love them and love Jesus and build relationships with some pretty amazing adults. This first picture is after our volleyball game. It makes me tear up if I think about it too much. You see they let my little man play. He couldn't get the ball over the net, but the youth did not let that stop him from playing. They let him throw it over the net instead of serving it, they held him up to hit the ball, they let him participate despite his size...he felt so BIG, he belonged, our youth taught him that in one simple volleyball game!
Another favorite part of the retreat is that we are allowed to retreat. Walker took our sweet family and Zoe and we went exploring. We ended up along this river bank. We took pics, threw rocks, decorated the sand and sank in the mud. Things you can't do every day in the business of life. We enjoyed the simple things, together! It was perfect!!

Emerson loves to read, here she is reading to Zoe on the way to retreat! My heart is about to explode!!

The group minus the Goff's who had to step out early!
This handsome man spent his last night of being 9 there. I am pretty sure he was EXCITED about it!
I pray our youth always feels needed, wanted and loved. I pray my kids grow up to be kids who love so BIG and are so passionate about the Lord.
