My sweet baby girl, you are 6! I cannot believe how much you have grown and learned this year! Kindergarten looks good on you sister! It has definitely helped that you had the BEST teacher for YOU! She has not only noticed your strengths and encouraged you considering those, but she has helped your dad and I see how thoughtful and caring you truly are. The moments we may have thought you were being disobedient or "not listening" to us you were really taking your time to notice. You have the capacity to notice things that no one else does. You enjoy loving those who have no one else, it brings you joy to join the lonely and make others smile. You don't always go with the crowd but you choose your own path where you make an impact on just one. I adore this quality and I know it is from HIM. He left the 99 for the one and I see this so much in your daily choices.
You love trying new foods and you especially love trying meat. This is strange for us since your brother has to be bribed to eat meat. You love sleeping and you sleep better than anyone in our house. You LOVE to read and you are reading books that first graders read at the end of the school year. Books are your favorite and you still love being read to despite your love to read. You love outdoors and are perfectly fine playing in your twirly dress while digging in the dirt. You can ride a bike bigger than your body and you are athletic despite your lack of competitiveness. Your brother is still your favorite playmate but you are also really into playing with friends. Gender, race, age, etc means nothing to you. Anyone is a playmate and you have a way of getting on whatever level needed to enjoy their company. You love playing barbies, dressing up, and talking to Alexa and singing along with her. You are obsessed with technology and we have major rules and limits to how much time you are allowed to enjoy the television, iPad, etc. You are a girly girl and love to wear dresses but you know how to play and have fun outdoors as well. We love you so much and cannot wait to see what adventures your sixth year brings.
Our prayer for you is that you will continue to be YOU. Do not conform to what others do. Stay true to you and continue fighting for those who have no one else. Seek wisdom from those around you and share your joy always. I hope it is evident how much your family adores you, but even more, I pray you feel your fathers, deep love for you. We will always be cheering you on. We may let you fall because getting back up will make you so strong and ready for what the world may throw at you. We are so thankful for the blessing you are to our family and life.
On your birthday it also happened to be the day the school celebrated its winners for the marathon for St Judes. What a perfect way to spend your day. We were so proud of you for desiring to raise money for St. Judes, meeting your goal and getting to enjoy this fun day!
We then headed to Bible class with a 6 and a 9 year old!
You share your birthday with this special soul and I was thrilled we got to see her at Bible class on your special day!
Your class made sure you felt the love on your special day!
