Monday, August 8, 2016 is here, and if you have been around Emmy for any amount of time you know this as the day she starts school! She is so very excited to "see her classroom, meet new friends and play on the playground!" Mommy and Daddy are finding it hard not to be excited for her as well. I mean she is SO ready and loves talking about it!
Feeding her brain before starting her BIG day!
First day pics...you knew I would go overboard!!!
That's my silly girl!
She says she is so excited!!!
Maybe a little nervous!!!
Oh well, I can do this!
WE had to break from pics, miss priss got a phone call! HA!
Face timing and showing off her school dress and paper!
God bless these sweet feet! Use them for your glory! Bring this sweet girl friends and teachers that lead her closer to you. Help her to always walk with you!
I think daddy knew I needed some pictures with my girl on her big day, so...
Daddy's turn...
I know this is hard to believe but i didn't take her today. Walker has graciously worked so hard so I could be home the last 7 years and experience many of the kiddos "first." He loves taking them to school (teaching/talking to them in the car) so I let go of this and let him do his thing with them. I pray they cherish these moments in the car with their daddy, walking into school with their daddy, working at his work, till it's time to go to school like they cherish the many memories I have made with them at home.
I wouldn't let them leave until I heard this though...Davis praying over his baby sister and her first day to school...these are the moments I will remember forever!
Bye bye sweet babies and daddy!
After they left I tidied up a bit and got in my car and drove to work. (I have done PRN work since D was born and now will work on the days Emmy goes to school still PRN!!!) I have never prayed so much. I prayed over her, her sweet teacher, her classmates, my hubby, his job, Davis, his teacher/classmates, school, friends and then for all my sweet friends/family who are rejoicing and hurting. It has been a long couple of weeks with many heartaches, but I choose JOY and to take it to the one who can calm my sadness!
She's back! She learned so much and hopefully got rid of some nervousness on her first day! HA! She did all group activities fine but got very shy on individual stuff! WE've talked about confidence and how you have to show your teacher what you know so she knows how smart you are, let's see what Wednesday brings!
