SUMMER TIME!!!!

I can't believe it's that time again. It is such a bittersweet time. I am so glad to have my boy home with me so we can make summer memories but I am saddened that this year has passed so quickly!! And now I have a second grader!!! Look for the comparison shots along this posts!!! Makes me sad how much they have grown this year!!! 

This was his last lunch on Friday as a first grader...

This was his last day of school on Monday!!!

We attended D's end of the year party and look where these girls ended up...

Mrs. Debbie has pushed D hard and he has learned so much this year. His reading is on point, he LOVES math and really just in general enjoys school. He has grown so much and I am so thankful for such wonderful teachers who love on my baby when he is away from me!

Mommy and Daddy were so impressed with his grades, behavior, and love for others that we surprised him with a little end of the year happy!

First grade Field Day

Yesterday was Davis' field day. The day started yucky so half of the day was spend inside and off schedule, but it ended up being pretty and we ended up having a great (tiring) day! 

The kids all enjoyed the petting zoo. 

Ok, even the adults loved the petting zoo, specifically the camel!! HA! 

 Davis really enjoyed listening to the army guy talk about his gear, guns and training. He even let the students see how heavy the gear was!

I spent some time making snow cones and was so happy to serve this little man! 

He was very proud of his face painting! 

 The game wardens brought by some animal skins and taught them about various animals, here they are checking them out!

 Because we loved the petting zoo so much, here are some more of my favorites from the day!

 I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by and how much D has learned. Blessed with another amazing teacher and student teacher and so proud of my little man for his sweet loving spirit!

Awards Day, moving on to 2nd grade

Davis had awards day Tuesday to show he is ready for the second grade. They sang some incredibly cute songs and we got some pictures of his class getting ready to move to second grade. We have been very pleased with MES and hope Davis continues to love learning so much.

SINGING!!!! 

Davis has learned a lot this year and fallen in love with two more teachers. Miss Billie Dee has been his student teacher and he has treated her like his teacher from the beginning! Mrs. Debbie upon meeting Davis embraced him with a hug and that is simply all it took. He is still his rule following self, it breaks his heart when others are not kind and don't treat others nicely, he loves math and reading and I am amazed at how far his teachers have pushed him this year. May he never stop loving to learn and may he always treat others with kindness.
