Mothers DAY

I woke up to a seven year old little man whispering happy mothers day in my ear. I wouldn't have had it any other way! Little miss slept till 8 which allowed me to get a shower alone and ready before she even woke up! I received sweet mothers day cards specially made by sweet little hands and a beautiful knot bracelet from my hubby showing that the two of us make a knot and we are tied together! My day was starting out with such ease, such sweetness......
UNTILL..the fussing began, the "I had that first" and "she took my" and the "BUBBA" but then I remembered ALL of this is part of my title..MOMMY, Mom, Momma.
I had one request and that was for pictures with the two that gave me my best and most valued title....

They obliged and I was pleased with my sweet memories in print, so we headed to church. Dropping Emmy off to class times two (for bible class and children's worship) was horrendous. She held my neck so tight I thought I might cry, instead she cried when I peeled her off of me! Mommy fail! After worship we attempted to take my precious momma to eat and after 4 failed attempts we grabbed barbecue and store bought desserts and too it to the house. By this time the kids were in rare form and I felt like I had threatened/fussed and more discussions with them on their behavior that I usually have in one day and it was just lunch! We made it home and all fell into our beds for a LONG nap. We all woke up to much happier selves and got ready for our big family moment of fishing.
We caught so many fish we lost count. Emmy got to use her first princess fishing pole, D got so good at catching fish he beat us all hands down. I heard more laughter, saw more joy and heard less fussing in those two hours than I had all day. I am blessed. I am usually not this transparent on my blog but I felt today in light of our last year I must be REAL. Today I am celebrating being a mom, the good, the bad and the BEST! Today I am praying for the moms who have lost their sweet kiddos, kiddos who have lost their moms and those who have never been given this precious title, and for fellow moms who are struggling to stay afloat and raise their sweet kiddos to love others.

Happy Mother's DAY!

Strawberry Festival

Davis was out of school Friday for the Strawberry Festival SO we ended up in Humboldt for the Strawberry Festival! HA! The kiddos ate way TOO much junk and were in a sugar coma on the way home, BUT we saw lots of cool floats, heard many awesome bands, and made lots of memories with our friends!
Cotton CANDY not sure if this was their 3rd or 4th treat?!?!

Watching the clydesdale horses...D was in a stupor!!

THE boys in their beads from the parade!

The girls...

The gang...

The following day I walked into the kitchen seeing this...

We switched it around so we could read her new headband from LALA and she kept on eating! HA! Love my little headband wearing girly!

Happy Birthday sweet girl, 4 is going to be so much FUN!

To my dearest princess, emmy nita, emmy o, and angel baby, today is May 2, 2016, and you are four! What a joyous day! You light up the room you walk into with your incredible wit and silly personality. You DO NOT meet a stranger and are happiest when around others! You rarely need time to yourself like your big brother and daddy and enjoy making others smile. You seek out those who haven't spoken to you or made eye contact and you make it your mission to not only meet them but make them fall in love with you.
This year of being three has been such a fun one. Many changes have occurred and you have handled them with such ease. You are so easy going and flexible, something you are teaching me about!!! You now wear glasses due to extreme far sightness and you rock them. Form the moment the optometrist told you that you needed to wear them you have been on board. You love that you have 3 pairs and can pick your favorite for the day! You amaze me with your wiliness to not only wear them but rock them!
You are still an amazing sleeper, and eater, You will try most anything and you have a strong love for cheese, porch chops, strawberries and sugar and dough nut holes.
You have made it an entire year doing gymnastics with your buddy Tenley and have graduated from a bear to a tiger. You balance on most beams you see and flip over every bar! We hope to try soccer and ballet soon to see what you think of something else!
Your favorite things to do at home are read books, play dress up, and play with barbies/princesses. I love watching you pretend play. You are such the little momma with your babies. My favorite though is your love for books. She can "read" lots of them and you ask your dad and I to read a book you like until you can read it! It is absolutely fascinating. You also have 3 books that you listen to in the car and you can recite them word for word!
You have LOTS of friends and depending on what day it is your best friend changes. You will start preschool where your brother went in August and you could not be more excited! You say "I'm four now I can't wait to go to school?"
You keep me on my toes with your wit, your vocabulary and the way you articulate is hilarious! I thank God for blessing us with such a fun, spunky glasses wearing princess!
I will end with a prayer for you my dear...
God thank you for such a fun, loving and energetic little 4 year old. She completes our little family and we can't imagine life without her! Thanks for giving us such a precious gift. God we pray your wisdom on Emmy, so that she is able to see bad and good and choose the good, ALWAYS! I pray that your fruits of the spirit grow in Emmy and blossom so that others see you in her. Give her your grace, peace and your mercy. May she choose love and may she love big and hard and may she bring many to you and your name. God thank you for family and we are so glad Emmy is a part of ours!

We celebrated your day with photos and a morning appointment to the optometrist! You wowed all of them in your glasses dress, made by the ever talented MIA!

Then we went to Kindermusik with Mack and Mia!

We also cashed in on Laura and Mack's gift.. WE got manicures and pedicures! WHAT FUN!!!

The finished product...

My dear 4 year old I hope you have had a GREAT birthday and we love you so much!

Mother Son Luau

Tonight After Big party day for Emmy, Davis and I had a chance to enjoy each others company at a mother son luau. I must admit I was so exhausted and nervous I would get tired but we had a blast and I waited to "get tired" till I got home! Selfie in the car before the big event!
First we got our official Mother/Son picture...
We prayed before dinner and I LOVE how this man loves me and holds my hand. I pray he will never be too big for this!

We enjoyed letting the boys play several games and we even joined in when it came to dressing up...

Last we enjoyed some pretty fun dancing. Top of my list was when this little guy looks up at me and smiles. Let them stay little, and sweet baby of mine, let me hold you longer!!!

DISNEY BOUND

We surprised the kids with a scavenger hunt, where they discovered we were headed to DISNEY!!  HEADED TO DISNEY!!!  We are here!!! We've...
