What do YOU do the day before school starts?

We have an awesome daddy and simply do not say it enough! The day before school he took off so we could spend a family day together in Memphis before the start of school. We headed first to the zoo...

 We could not believe the tiger was in the water and he was using the ball as a float! SO cute!

Emmy loved holding the map and ordering us to the next exhibit! 

 Of course she had to see one of her favorite things....What a mess!

 We finally got to see the newest exhibit and the kids especially loved playing the instruments...

Daddy did too! HA! 

Such a FUN zoo day! 

 NEXT we headed to lunch and then the...

Memphis children's Museum

 We began our journey at the splash pad, they LOVED it!

 And the zipline...

WE went shopping after we changed and got in our dry clothes...

And on to explore more..

Davis even drove the airplane..

We had such a great day, and we are so thankful daddy joined in on the fun! Grateful for our family and all the precious memories we make together! 

Davis goes to 2nd grade

My sweet 7 month, I mean year old started 2nd grade today, can it be so? I say it every year but wow is he really old enough for this? I adore the sweet sincere little man he is and I must admit I don't like sharing him too much, BUT he insists he is big enough and strong enough for this so....he we go again! 

God I pray you use these feet for your work. I pray your richest blessing over each and every step he takes as he journeys through this second grade year. God bless him with your fruits of the spirit so that others may see good in him and come to know you! God I pray for Mrs. Sarah and that she is filled with your wisdom this school year, each and every day! In your sons name, AMEN! 

Sissy needed one more hug too, she wasn't quite ready to let go!! 

AFTER school.....

This is the look I got from him immediately after picking him up....to say he was excited might be an understatement! He is so excited about his year and his teacher!! That makes me SO happy!
